Here I use stillness as a metaphor for living with chronic illness—where suffering is ongoing, yet moments of peace emerge with profound clarity. Longing lives here in subtle ways: in the fading light, in the warmth of the golden glow against cooling air, in the hope that rest can coexist with pain. The work honors transformation not as a dramatic shift, but as a quiet recalibration—finding calm within limitation, and meaning within endurance.
