About this piece:

This piece confronts the experience of being held back by those in positions of authority. The master’s touch reflects the dismissal often faced by the chronically ill—when pain is minimized, symptoms are questioned, and suffering is reduced to something imagined rather than lived. The restraint is subtle, but its impact is profound.

The horse continues forward, embodying instinct, truth, and self-knowledge. This movement represents the pursuit of healing beyond permission—finding answers by listening inward rather than yielding to imposed narratives. Don’t Stop Me is about reclaiming one’s voice, trusting lived experience, and moving toward healing even when those in power attempt to slow, redirect, or deny the path forward.
